Before he was an author, Norman Vincent Peale was a pastor. For nearly fifty years, Peale led congregants at Marble Collegiate Church in the New York borough of Manhattan. On Sundays, one couple would make the drive from Queens to worship at the altar of Peale; that couple was Mary and Fred Trump, mother and father to future President Donald Trump.
